UP Scholarship 2025-26: Apply Online for Pre & Post Matric Students

The UP Scholarship 2025-26 is a major initiative by the Social Welfare Department (SWD) of the Government of Uttar Pradesh. Under this scheme, Pre-Matric (Class 9 & 10) and Post-Matric (Class 11, 12, UG, PG, Diploma, and other higher studies) students can apply for financial assistance.

If you are a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh and enrolled in any recognized school, college, institute, or university, you are eligible to apply for the UP Scholarship program.

Important Dates

• Pre & Post Matric (Class 9-12) – All Categories: 30 October 2025
• Post Matric (Other Courses – General, OBC & Minority): 20 December 2025
• Post Matric (SC/ST Students): 31 March 2026

Eligibility Criteria for UP Scholarship 2025-26

• Applicant must be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh.
• Must be enrolled in a recognized school, college, or institute.
• Pre-Matric Scholarship – Students of Class 9 and 10.
• Post-Matric Scholarship – Students of Class 11 and 12.
• Dashmottar Scholarship – For UG, PG, Diploma, and Professional courses.
• Annual family income must not exceed:
  • ₹2,00,000 for General/OBC/Minority category
  • ₹2,50,000 for SC/ST category

How to Apply Online for UP Scholarship 2025-26?

1. Visit the official website: scholarship.up.gov.in.
2. Complete One Time Registration (OTR) to get a unique OTR number.
3. Choose your category:
   • Fresh Candidates – Applying for the first time.
   • Renewal Candidates – Already availed scholarship last year.
4. Fill in personal and academic details (Name, DOB, School/College, Mobile No, Email, etc.).
5. Submit the form and take a printout of the registration receipt.

How to Check UP Scholarship Status 2025-26?

1. Visit scholarship.up.gov.in.
2. Click on Student > Application Status.
3. Enter your Registration Number and Date of Birth.
4. Your current scholarship application status will be displayed.
5. You can also check payment details via PFMS Portal using your bank account number under “Know Your Payment.”
