CTET 2026 Application Fee
Candidates need to pay the application fee while submitting the CTET 2026 Application Form. Below is the category-wise fee structure:

CTET 2026 Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria differ for candidates applying for Paper I (Classes I–V) and Paper II (Classes VI–VIII).
For Classes I–V (Paper I):
Passed Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and completed or appearing in the 2-year D.El.Ed.
OR passed Senior Secondary with 50% marks and in the final year of 4-year B.El.Ed.
OR passed 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
For Classes VI–VIII (Paper II):
Graduate with 50% marks and completed or appearing in B.Ed.
OR Senior Secondary with 50% marks and in the final year of 4-year B.El.Ed. or B.A./B.Sc.Ed.

CTET 2026 Exam Pattern
The CTET exam is divided into two papers:
Paper I – for teaching Classes I–V
Paper II – for teaching Classes VI–VIII
Both papers consist of 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and carry 150 marks in total. There is no negative marking.

CTET 2026 Certificate Validity
The CTET Certificate 2026 is valid for a lifetime, as per CBSE’s latest update. Earlier, it was valid only for 7 years. This means candidates can use their CTET qualification indefinitely for applying to teaching positions.

Written Examination (Paper I / II or both)
